Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of CarPilot. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. Driving safety comes first
CarPilot is an informational driving aid only. It is not a substitute for attentive driving, road signs, traffic laws, vehicle instruments, professional advice, or your own judgment. You are solely responsible for operating your vehicle safely and lawfully.
Do not interact with CarPilot in a way that distracts you while driving. Mount and use your device only where permitted by law and where it does not obstruct your view or interfere with vehicle controls or safety equipment.
2. Information may be delayed or inaccurate
Speed, location, heading, altitude, G-force, inclinometer, weather, trip, and other data may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate because of device sensors, GPS conditions, network availability, data-source errors, environmental conditions, or other factors.
You must not rely on CarPilot as the sole source of information for legal compliance, navigation, vehicle safety, emergency decisions, or hazardous off-road or motorsport activity.
3. Off-road, performance, and sensor features
Pitch, roll, G-force, smoothness, and similar measurements are estimates based on the phone and its sensors. They are not certified vehicle instruments and must not be used to determine whether terrain, a maneuver, a slope, or a vehicle condition is safe.
4. Weather and external data
Weather and other external information may be supplied by third-party or public-data sources. Conditions can change quickly. Always use official warnings and direct observation when making safety decisions.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to use CarPilot only in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms. You are responsible for your device, vehicle, data connection, mounting setup, and any consequences arising from your driving decisions or misuse of the app.
6. Availability and changes
Features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued. We do not guarantee that CarPilot or any particular feature, data source, or service will always be available or error-free.
7. Intellectual property
CarPilot and its original software, interface, branding, graphics, and related content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party content and data remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to separate terms or licenses.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarPilot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarPilot and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on app information, driving decisions, vehicle use, data-source inaccuracies, service interruptions, or inability to use the app.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
10. Apple terms
If you obtained CarPilot through Apple's App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and licensed application terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as CarPilot evolves. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made. Continued use of CarPilot after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
